Dream Fulfilled. Living in Malibu: How to Manifest
I used to dream about Malibu.
In high school, my friends and I would take Kanan Road in a vintage jeep. Top down. Steve Miller Band on. We'd drive up to Zuma 7 and spend the whole day in the sand, jumping waves.
Malibu wasn't just a place. It was a feeling. It felt like home, like a childhood spent on the beach with my family. It was salt air and crashing waves. Walking barefoot in the sand. Morning coffee in the sun. The beach and the mountains. Malibu meant freedom, beauty, and a version of me that was completely at peace. The most authentic me. The most at home in my own skin.
And now, somehow, I live here.
I want to tell you how that happened. Not in a "just be positive!" way. In a grounded, real, spiritual and strategic way. My path here was hard fought and it was not a straight line. I manifested this. Not all of it. But the Malibu part? Yes.
Manifesting isn't magic. It's a quiet series of steps. Deep belief. Clear vision. Tiny, aligned actions over time. It's intentional, and it takes a knowing you can't prove. It just is. To get there, you have to get very quiet and very honest about what you want and what you need.
I Gave Myself Permission to Want It
I stopped making excuses for why it couldn't happen for me. I let all of it go. I let myself want it, without having to justify it. That kind of honesty is where manifesting anything begins. Get real. It's ok if it looks like "too much" to other people. Maybe their container just can't hold that much. This is about you. Only you.
I Got VERY Specific and VERY Clear
It wasn't "I want to live by the beach." I wrote everything down on a big poster board. Every detail. The home, the neighborhood, the feeling. The furniture, the clothes I'd wear. The holidays I'd host, the car I'd drive. The joy. The freedom.
I pictured my daughters and my son with me. Here, in the place they grew up visiting, playing on the playground at Cross Creek. The place I came when I was pregnant with them. I pictured them walking into town.
That tells the universe you're clear. Mostly, it tells you that you DESERVE it. That the dream is coming. It starts with you and what you believe.
I Stayed Open to the How
I didn't force it. I didn't demand it on my timeline. I stayed open. Open to the universe, open to receiving, open to saying YES to life. I followed the nudges. I noticed the synchronicities. I trusted it would unfold. How it would happen wasn't always clear. Some days it still isn't, even here. But I believed that if I stayed in alignment with my soul's mission, whatever shape that took, the opportunity would come.
Living the Dream (and Living in Reality)
Now that I'm here, my manifestation has a name. Malibu Soul.
I still pinch myself when I look at the water. When I drive to the store on PCH. When I pick my daughter up from school and see the ocean from the carpool lane on a clear day.
I try to remember that every dream that's ever come true started as a whisper in the soul. It shows up when the universe decides it's your time. When your soul is open to receive. And the universe will never let you fall completely.
You can manifest your version of Malibu too, whatever that looks like for you. Start by letting yourself want it. Then begin the beautiful, slow dance of becoming the woman who already has it. Say it. Write it down. Make it real.
You're in there. Your dreams deserve to be your reality. You deserve it.
