Why I'm Loving Emeralds: The Color Green and the Heart Chakra

To love well.

There's something magnetic about emeralds. It's not just their deep, velvety green. It's the way they seem to hold both mystery and comfort in the same breath. When I design with them, I feel like I'm channeling a kind of ancient wisdom, the kind that reminds me to soften, to open, to love.

Green is the color of the heart chakra, the energetic center that governs compassion, empathy, and emotional balance. Green is the color of my office, the color of my car, and dare I say, the color of my soul. When the heart chakra is open, life feels lighter, more connected. Love flows more freely. When we're tuned into the heart chakra, the space for forgiveness, for understanding, and for joy opens. That open energy feels like sunlight filtering through leaves.

Emeralds, in their purest form, carry this energy naturally. They're said to soothe the heart, encourage truth in relationships, and inspire the courage to love without walls. I think of them as a reminder that even in life's chaos, I can find a steady rhythm in my heart.

Six years ago, on my own spiritual journey, I found my life's purpose: to love well. That's the clearest message I've ever received. It revealed itself in a moment of deep clarity during a sacred plant medicine ceremony. It came by happenstance, the way so many of the most moving things do. In that space, I saw, with startling clarity, that there are no walls inside us at all. I had a vision of every inner wall crumbling, dissolving into nothing, until everything was one… and all that remained was the heart and open doors. Everything was one. In that vision, I saw the deepest, richest green I'd ever known, the color of my soul, a living picture of trees swaying in the wind. That green, and the shattering of those walls, has stayed with me ever since. A reminder that love is our truest nature.

Wearing emeralds feels like carrying a piece of that vision. Green is a piece of the universal soul. It's grounding, yet uplifting. Like standing barefoot in grass, breathing in the scent of spring after rain. For me, it's not just jewelry. It's an invitation to live with my heart wide open.

Maybe that's why I'm so drawn to them right now. The world feels noisy, but emeralds remind me to quiet down, tune in, and let my inner light and love shine.
